Welcome to The RoseMary

I am a BACP counsellor, qualified in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychology, with specialist accreditation in Sight Loss Counselling.

As a pluralistic counsellor, I draw on a wide range of approaches – all individually tailored to your unique needs, choices, and goals. I work with empathy, authenticity, adaptability, and complete confidentiality as we walk your path together.

Whatever you are experiencing – whether you are seeking support with self-care, healing, recovery, or working towards a personal goal, I am here.

I know reaching out for counselling can feel daunting. I strive to be easy to talk to, non-judgemental, and to hold whatever you are carrying with care. Let’s set it down together, and make it feel more manageable.

My practice is named after my two grandmothers, Rose and Mary. They taught me so much about kindness, courage, tenacity, respect, and empowerment – for myself and for others. This gentle strength is the heart of my work, and it is the connection you will receive in every counselling session.

I offer an initial 20-minute conversation free of charge so you can ask any questions, see how we connect and feel sure I am the right counsellor for you and that you feel comfortable before we begin.

I am committed to ethical practice – offering large print, audio formats and any adjustments I can for mental and physical needs, so please feel comfortable letting me know if I can assist you.

I welcome you in person in East Lothian, and there are no geographical limits for online or telephone sessions.
